Shampooing\u00a0and Conditioning<\/h2>

Your new hair (along with your existing hair) should be shampooed as often as your lifestyle requires to keep it looking and feeling great. This may be 2 or 3 times per week. You may shampoo your own existing hair and scalp as often as required, even daily, if you lead an active life.<\/p>

How do I shampoo my new Human Hair?<\/h2>

(For hair replacements with a high percentage of Synthetic Fibre Hair, please see the next section).<\/p>

  1. Ensure your hair is completely free from any tangles from roots to ends before proceeding. Always gently brush\/comb through hair, starting from ends, brushing\/combing outwards and working gradually towards the roots.<\/li>
  2. If your particular hair system requires you to use and change one of our special AHS Tapes in the front. Release tape from scalp\/forehead and remove it from the tape tab area of your new hair. Clean off any tape residue.<\/li>
  3. Wet hair thoroughly under the shower, use moderate, not excessive, water pressure. Apply a moderate amount of shampoo and distribute evenly through the hair in direction of hair flow. Do not rub or massage your new hair. Distribute the shampoo gently through your new hair to the scalp to ensure thorough cleansing (you may massage your own existing hair underneath as normal).\u00a0<\/li>
  4. Rinse thoroughly, repeat only if needed. Be sure your new hair, existing hair, and scalp are thoroughly cleaned and rinsed of all traces of shampoo. Pay special attention to rinsing under your new hair on the scalp if accessible, where suds may be a little more difficult to rinse out.<\/li><\/ol>

    How do I condition Human Hair?<\/h2>
    1. After shampooing, rinsing and squeezing out excess water from\u00a0the hair, you are ready to condition it. Apply an appropriate amount of conditioner to your palms and distribute evenly through the hair.<\/li>
    2. Squeeze conditioner through to ensure thorough coverage. With your vent brush or wide-toothed comb, brush or comb through the hair from roots to ends. Ensure that all tangles are removed, especially in the root area where they may hide.<\/li>
    3. Rinse hair and scalp thoroughly of conditioner and towel blot without rubbing.<\/li>
    4. Dry tape tab area of your new hair and scalp. If accessible, apply new Tape to tab area and press firmly down to attach to scalp.<\/li>
    5. Apply Styling Products and let dry naturally, occasionally aerating the hair with your fingers or a brush. If you prefer, use a warm, not hot, blow dryer and gently brush to shape your hair. A \u2018vent\u2019 type brush is recommended and must have rounded bristle tips to protect your new hair from damage.<\/li>
    6. For funky looks with \u2018attitude\u2019 and for all lengths and styles, you can use a shaping\/styling product when hair is damp or dry.<\/li>
    7. If you like a softer \u2018wet look\u2019, apply wax either when the hair is damp or dry.<\/li><\/ol>

      How do I shampoo Synthetic Fibre Hair?<\/h2>

      For Hair Replacements with a significant percentage of synthetic fibre only, this may be the case with some Hair Systems with a lot of grey hair.<\/p>

      1. Ensure hair is completely tangle free from roots to ends before proceeding. If accessible, release tape from scalp\/forehead and remove it from the tape tab of your new hair.\u00a0<\/li>
      2. Wet hair thoroughly using moderate, not excessive, water pressure. Wash hair with tepid water. Avoid the use of hot water as this can relax the curl or wave in synthetic fibre hair prematurely.<\/li>
      3. Apply a moderate amount of shampoo and distribute evenly through hair in one direction. Do not rub or massage your new hair, squeeze the shampoo gently through the hair to the scalp to ensure thorough cleansing (you may massage your own existing hair as normal of course). Excess rubbing of fibre hair when it is wet (or dry) can cause any wave to relax prematurely and can prematurely \u201cage\u201d Synthetic Fibre Hair.<\/li>
      4. Rinse thoroughly, repeat if needed. Be sure your new hair, existing hair and scalp are thoroughly cleaned and rinsed of all traces of shampoo. Pay special attention to rinsing under your new hair.<\/li><\/ol>

        How do I condition Synthetic Fibre Hair?<\/h2>

        For Hair Replacements with a significantly high percentage of synthetic fibre only.
        NB. In hair systems with a blend of human hair with a small percentage of synthetic fibre, please condition as per \u201cHow Do I Condition Human Hair\u201d section.<\/p>

        1. After shampooing, rinse and gently squeeze out excess water from the hair.<\/li>
        2. Rinse hair and scalp thoroughly, towel blot without rubbing.<\/li>
        3. Dry tape tab area and scalp. Apply new tape to tab area. Re-attach tape tab to the scalp.<\/li>
        4. If you like your style to stay in place, use Gel Spray which is a non-aerosol Hair Spray\u201d when the hair is damp or dry as a bodybuilding or holding product.<\/li>
        5. NOTE: Avoid open flames, ovens, curling irons, blow dryers, or other sources of heat. They can frizz and damage Synthetic Fibre Hair and blends using Synthetic Fibre Hair. Always use a satin type pillowcase as this helps reduce friction, rubbing and electrostatic energy \u2013 both of which may adversely affect Synthetic Fibre Hair health.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
